Account and Data Deletion
Version: deletion-v1 · Effective: 10 September 2026
This page explains how to delete your AGA account and what happens to your data when you do. It applies to the AGA website at myaga.org and to the AGA mobile application for Android and iOS, both operated by The N-Gine, Suite 4, Level 6, Victoria House, 29–31 High Street, St. Peter Port, GY1 2JX, Guernsey.
Delete your account from inside AGA
- Sign in at myaga.org, or open the AGA mobile app.
- Go to Profile → Account.
- Choose Delete account.
- Confirm by typing the email address on the account.
That is the whole process. No email exchange and no approval by us is required.
Request deletion without signing in
If you cannot sign in — you have lost access to the email address, or you have already removed the app — write to contact@myaga.org from any address you can use, and tell us the email address the account was registered with.
We may need to confirm that the account is yours before erasing it, because otherwise anyone could delete anyone else's account. We answer within 30 days.
What happens next
Immediately. The account is deactivated. It stops appearing in discovery and public listings, no further activity is possible under it, and it is scheduled for erasure.
For 30 days. The account is held in a recovery window. Signing in with a verified sign-in during this period restores it, exactly as it was. This exists so that a deletion made in a bad moment is not irreversible.
After 30 days. Erasure completes automatically. No administrator has to approve it.
What is deleted
- Your account, email address, name, and sign-in credentials
- Your conversations with AGA
- Your personal memory items
- Your ikigai record, journeys, guidance, chosen actions, and reflections
- Your public profile, username, bio, and approved signals
- Your matches, connections, and connection-room messages
- Your location records and opportunity preferences
- Your saved, hidden, and reported opportunities
- Your device push registration, where one exists
- Any signer key material associated with your account
What is kept, and why
- A privacy-safe deletion receipt — a record that a deletion happened, with no identifying content in it. Without one we could not demonstrate that we honoured your request.
- Bounded security and abuse records — retained where we are required to keep them, or where they are needed to protect other people.
- Financial and on-chain records — a blockchain transaction cannot be erased by anyone. Devnet treasury records remain on the network.
- Work already published — analysis, organizations, campaigns, and contributions that were deliberately published stay in the public record. Deleting your account removes your personal data; it does not retract a published document. If you want a specific published item reviewed for removal, write to contact@myaga.org.
- Moderation cases — where a case concerns harm to another person, the case record is retained for that person's protection.
One thing that can delay erasure
If your account has an in-flight treasury transfer — one that has been queued, signed, or broadcast but not yet settled — final erasure waits until that transfer reconciles. This prevents a half-finished financial operation being orphaned. It resolves on its own, and the reason is shown to you.
Deleting less than everything
You do not have to delete your whole account to remove data:
- Individual memories — Profile → Memory, delete any item one at a time.
- Individual conversations — delete any conversation from the conversation list.
- Public profile signals — hide, expire, or delete any signal, or switch the public profile off entirely.
- Location records — inspect, revoke, or delete them, and turn off their use in the opportunity feed independently.
